My inspiration and my passion for photography first and foremost begins with my family.
I’m a wife to a wonderful husband, a proud mother to a son and daughter, and grandmother to three adorable grandchildren. They truly are my inspirations and with their encouragement and support, how my love of photography was born. I wanted to capture and preserve the spontaneous images of my grandchildren and special occasions with my family. From there it has developed into a creative outlet to showcase my love of family and friends, travels and adventures, and beauty in everyday life. To me each photograph captures a feeling, expression, or moment in time, tells a story, and documents memories to cherish forever. Nowadays, with the camera seemingly glued to my hand, I am constantly looking through the lens for those moments that I want to capture and save. I was told recently by a photographer, “just shoot from your heart”. That is my intention every time I pick up my camera and I hope it translates through the collection of photographs posted on my website.

Back From An Amazing Workshop.Nichole Van Salt Lake City…. Arroyo Grande Photographer

If I had just one word to sum up this workshop it would be “Amazing”. It was an experience I will never forget. In three long days I learned so much about photography. I also had the chance to meet Kay & Trina I have know them on a online forum for year and half. Friendships that I have made and know that will last a lifetime. Back to the details of the workshop. Nichole & Dave are so organized every little detail was so perfect and the food. “Yummy”. Again , it was so hard to pick a few images from the workshop . I’m so excited to be able to offer my clients some really fun & creative sessions. I really have to say a big “Thank You to my family & my husband for believing in me and supporting me in my photography journey none of this would be possible without their support” .

Mike & Heather’s Wedding..Arroyo Grande Photographer

My hubby and I attended our nephews wedding in Santa Barbara. My original plan was I was not going to take my camera. Well, that didn’t happen I always have my camera. Ok, I was just going to leave my huge camera in my purse just in case. Well it didn’t take much coaxing when I saw my adorable great nieces and how big they have gotten. Than watching Mike as he saw he bride walk down the aisle. What a perfect day for Mike & Heather. They are truly in love with each other . Here are some moments I captured. It was beautiful afternoon with family. I’m so glad I took my camera .

Class 2011. Arroyo Grande Senior Photographer

Can I say Jake you were truly a good sport. I have known this family for years, many years. When his mom asked me to take Jake’s senior pictures I was thrilled & nervous. I knew I was in trouble when he asked me how many pictures can your camera hold? I had only clicked the shutter a few times. If anyone knows me I get a little crazy and I take way too many photos. I told him not to worry if my memory card gets full I have plenty more. We had a great time and the lighting changed many times during the session. I couldn’t wait to get home and check out my images from this great session. It was hard to pick just a few there are so many great captures of Jake’s charming , witty & funny personality.

This little guy will melt your heart. Watching him grow leaps & bound is so rewarding. He stopped by to visit and I couldn’t resist. He is just too handsome and knows how to work that smile of his.
